The above leads are 24K gold plated oxygen free highly flexible wire these are for high performance installs. In general you will find that the price varies depending on how well the leads are screened. The better the screening the less interfearance you will get. which means better sound quality. Various lengths are available also

Power Kit

I could go on forever about leads and connectors, but frankly you dont need to know any of that stuff at this stage, plus i cant be bothered creating this page in more depth than it needs to be. In my mind, the only reason for buying your cables/connectors sepperate is if you are upgrading your system to a more 'High performance' level. In general i would advise any one who is doing there first install to buy a power wiring kit. This way you'll get the lot for about 25.
The kits generaly consist of:

1)POWER CABLE AND FUSE HOLDER
2)RCA LEADS
3)REMOTE LEAD
4)SPEAKER WIRE
5)GROUND CABLE
6)SPARE FUSES ETC..

Phasing

If one speaker seems louder than the other, your sytem could be 'out of phase'. This means the positive and negative wires have been cross-matched to the terminals. To fix it, just swap the connections over on the 'quieter' speaker. In some cases, though, having a Subwoofer 'out of phase' is a good thing and can boost performance.
